New Glarus 8th Graders recently competed in the 3rd annual poetry slam style contest as a culmination of their trimester-long study of poetry and poetic expression. There were divisions for co-written and performed poems and individual poems. Champions were crowned in each of these categories as well as the coveted class championship for the ELA class with the highest total points.
Leah Missig won the individual championship
Claire Mondlach, Eloise Czerwonka, and Mya Clark won the group championship
6th hour won the class championship
The contest was a rousing success!

New Glarus Elementary fourth graders completed their Middle Ages unit with a project using the Illuminated Alphabet! They designed their own letters using their initials, incorporating designs and pictures that represented themselves. We are so proud of the beautiful works they created!

New Glarus Fire Department came into the College and Career Readiness class to speak to students about the opportunities available to them through the Junior Firefighter program. Following the presentation they gave a demo for the students, thank you to the New Glarus Fire Department for the visit!
