Welcome to New Glarus High School! NGHS has a long tradition of excellence in education, for which we have received local and national accolades. The State of Wisconsin has rated us as a school that Exceeds Expectations. New Glarus High School has also been rated as a top-notch school by U.S. News and World Report. Additionally, College Board has twice recognized New Glarus High School as part of its District Honor Roll for growth and excellence on Advanced Placement. Our staff has been recognized by Solution Tree as staff of promising practices for their collaborative work and student growth.

New Glarus High School is a 9-12 building that serves approximately 320 students. Our mission every day is to learn and we have an expectation that all students will learn at high levels. Our determined staff work every day with the goal of all students graduating college and career ready. As a team, we have set lofty goals and we believe we can achieve those goals.

New Glarus High School uses a 6 period trimester schedule that provides students with additional time, especially in Math and English, to learn essential skills. This schedule also allows students the flexibility to take a wide range of elective classes. New Glarus High School features a strong band and choir program as well as newly renovated spaces for Career and Technical Education classes (Agriculture, Family and Consumer Science, Technology and Engineering, Business) and Art. New Glarus High School is truly a small school with big opportunities.

Our P.B.I.S. program focuses on initiative, integrity, and perseverance. We aim to teach, model and use these character traits on a regular basis and to live our belief in true Knight Pride.

We are fortunate to have an active PTO in our community as well as other booster clubs that support our school and district initiatives. We welcome and value the strong parental involvement that is a part of NGHS.
