Welcome to the New Glarus Middle School!

The New Glarus Middle School consists of grades 6th, 7th, and 8th, and provides students with an educational environment that continues to develop and enhance learning skills and a broad base of knowledge using a universal curriculum and intervention system.  Additionally, New Glarus Middle School begins the transition to high school by supporting and engaging students to achieve academic success and through providing access to several extra-curricular opportunities.

We have nearly 40 staff members including general and special education teachers, intervention teachers, specialists, paraprofessionals, administrators, and support staff.

The Middle School begins each day with announcements to review the day's schedule, celebrate birthdays, and regularly engage in some mindfulness activities.

At NGMS, we expect students and staff to "Be the Best Knight You Can Be!"  With a focus on Being Respectful, Being Safe, Being Responsible, and Being Kind, our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) allow the school to encourage and reinforce positive behaviors.

New Glarus Middle School practices an open-door policy.  We invited you to visit, take a tour, observe a class offering, or attend any one of the many events that takes place in our Multi-Purpose Room.
